Our headline sponsors make the event cost neutral, meaning every penny raised by you charging into the sea is used where its needed most.
Would you like to join us for an amazing experience and raise funds for a great cause?
Please fill in our short registration form to confirm you will be joining us in taking the plunge for Macmillan Caring Locally. You will then be given the opportunity to create a Just-Giving page, which is a quick and easy way to collect sponsorships. We would be so grateful if you would do this, because if everyone who signs up raises just £50.00 through Just-Giving it would mean we will easily reach our fundraising target of £50,000.
This year for the first time we are introducing a PWYC (pay what you can) registration. We recommend a donation of £10 per person, but we want everyone to be able to join us regardless of means, so if you can't afford £10 please pay what you can. If you can afford to donate more than £10, that would be amazing. All donations will be going to a great cause, 'Brick by Brick' the capital appeal to build a new Macmillan Unit at Christchurch Hospital.
Our event is open to all ages and all we ask is that you sign a disclaimer indicating that you can swim well enough to feel comfortable joining us in the sea for a quick dip.
Your safety is our priority, we always look out for each other and both Southbourne Surf Lifesaving & RNLI lifeguards will be on the beach ensuring we're all safe!
Please ensure you are to the right of Boscombe Pier BETWEEN 9:45 - 10:00am on Christmas Day as this allows time to be signed in, for safety announcements, and for photos before we charge into the sea at 10:30 am sharp!
IT'S IMPORTANT THAT ALL SPONSORSHIP MONIES PLEDGED ARE COLLECTED AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE AFTER THE EVENT IF NOT THROUGH JUST GIVING so we can announce the total raised and celebrate your success.
We look forward to seeing you for the UK's biggest charity dip!
We want you to have a good laugh and a lot of fun with us on Christmas morning. To help make sure that's exactly what happens we have to have this page with some rules on it, it sounds daunting, but trust me, our number one aim is to ensure everyone is safe & has fun!
Also if anybody gets injured it'll make it harder for them to collect their sponsor money and donate it to the Macmillan Unit at Christchurch Hospital, and we don't want that!

We use photography and video to help promote the event and also to create memories for those who take part, this comes from a wide range of sources (including spectators) on a voluntary basis and is not arranged by White Christmas Dip or MacMillan Caring Locally. As well as wide event images there may also be photographers and camera people among participants on the beach. If approached by a camera person we would ask that you participate in good spirits, however if you don't wish to be filmed or photographed just let them know when approached. We do however reserve the right to use footage or images supplied to us where you might be included but are not the main subject eg. Large group shots, in the background and similar situations.
It is not our intention to embarrass participants and anything that is considered embarrassing or which could prove uncomfortable will not be used.
