Would you like to join us for an amazing experience and raise funds for a great cause?

Please fill in our short registration form to confirm you will be joining us in taking the plunge for Macmillan Caring Locally, you will then be given the opportunity to create a Just-Giving page, which is a quick and easy way to collect sponsorships, please do this, if everyone who signs up raises just £50.00 through Just-Giving it would add another £10,000 to the annual total, I'm sure everyone can raise £10.00 in sponsorship, go on, give it a go!

Minimum donation of £5 is required to join in the fun, but it would be amazing if you could collect as much as you can. All donations will be going to a great cause, the Macmillan Unit at Christchurch Hospital.

Our event is open to all ages and all we ask is that you sign a disclaimer indicating that you can swim well enough to feel comfortable joining us in the sea for a quick dip.

Your safety is our priority, we always look out for each other and both Southbourne Surf Lifesaving & RNLI lifeguards will be on the beach ensuring we're all safe!

Please ensure you are to the right of Boscombe Pier BETWEEN 9:45 - 10:00am on Christmas Day as this allows time to be signed in, for safety, and take a few photos before we charge into the sea at 10:30am!

We look forward to seeing you for our Charity Christmas morning dip!

Terms and Conditions

We want you to have a good laugh and a lot of fun with us on Christmas morning. To help make sure that's exactly what happens we have to have this page with some rules on it, it sounds daunting, but trust me, our number one aim is to ensure everyone is safe & has fun!

Also if anybody gets injured it'll make it harder for them to collect their sponsor money and donate it to the Macmillan Unit at Christchurch Hospital, and we don't want that!

The details you share through this website are collected by Macmillan Caring Locally and will not be distributed to any other third party. Macmillan Caring locally may however send you news and information to inform you of important information about the event as well as how your sponsorship money is being spent and other events organised by Macmillan Caring Locally that you may be interested in.

We use photography and video to help promote the event and also to create memories for those who take part, this comes from a wide range of sources (including spectators) on a voluntary basis and is not arranged by White Christmas Dip or MacMillan Caring Locally. As well as wide event images there may also be photographers and camera people among participants on the beach. If approached by a camera person we would ask that you participate in good spirits, however if you don't wish to be filmed or photographed just let them know when approached. We do however reserve the right to use footage or images supplied to us where you might be included but are not the main subject eg. Large group shots, in the background and similar situations.

It is not our intention to embarrass participants and anything that is considered embarrassing or which could prove uncomfortable will not be used.

By filling in the online form it is assumed that you have read this page and agreed to the conditions of participation by ticking the checkbox provided. The Tems and Conditions can be sent to you on request.
