We want you to have a good laugh and a lot of fun with us on Christmas morning. To help make sure that's exactly what happens we have to have this page with some rules on it, it sounds daunting, but trust me, our number one aim is to ensure everyone is safe & has fun!
Also if anybody gets injured it'll make it harder for them to collect their sponsor money and donate it to the Macmillan Unit at Christchurch Hospital, and we don't want that!
PRIVACY
The details you share through this website are collected by Macmillan Caring Locally and will not be distributed to any other third party. Macmillan Caring locally may however send you news and information to inform you of important information about the event as well as how your sponsorship money is being spent and other events organised by Macmillan Caring Locally that you may be interested in.
PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEO
We use photography and video to help promote the event and also to create memories for those who take part, this comes from a wide range of sources (including spectators) on a voluntary basis and is not arranged by White Christmas Dip or Macmillan Caring Locally. As well as wide event images there may also be photographers among the participants on the beach. If approached by a photographer we would ask that you participate in good spirits, however if you don't wish to be filmed or photographed just let them know when approached. We do however reserve the right to use footage or images supplied to us where you might be included but are not the main subject eg. Large group shots, in the background and similar situations.
It is not our intention to embarrass participants and anything that is considered embarrassing or which could prove uncomfortable will not be used.
PARTICIPATION
By registering for the Dip you are confirming that you have read and agreed to the conditions of participation by ticking the checkbox provided. If you sign up to the Dip on behalf of someone else in your family or group, it is your responsibility to ensure they read, understand and agree to these terms.

There are inherent risks in any physical activity and this event is no exception. As you would expect the water can be very cold at the time of the event and participating in this activity carries a risk of personal harm, so you need to be aware of any risks to you personally and any conditions you may have that could be exacerbated by this activity and assume personal responsibility for your participation and actions during the event.
It is your responsibility to ensure that you are in a good physical condition and able to participate in this event and if you have any doubts, then we recommend that you seek qualified medical advice before doing so.
By participating in this event, you fully accept and agree that the organisers or fellow participants or any person associated with this activity will not be held liable for any loss, damage or injury to you that may occur during or in connection with this activity.
